Goed. Ik heb de tekst hierboven gelezen en ik weet eigenlijk niet zo goed waar ik moet beginnen. Laat ik eerst even zeggen dat ik natuurlijke geneeswijzen op zich geen onzin vindt. Alle processen in het menselijk lichaam zijn zelf immers ook 'natuurlijk', als je begrijpt wat ik bedoel. Veel medicijnen zijn derivaten van natuurlijke middelen. Denk maar aan kinine. Zelfs het cytostaticum vincristine heeft een biologische oorsprong, en wel de plant Catharanthus Roseus; roze maagdenpalm. Ik geloof ook dat gezonde voeding, bijvoorbeeld, eigenlijk een gezonde levensstijl in het een grote rol kan spelen in het voorkomen van ziekten. Maar dit verhaal, daar geloof ik niet in en wel om meerdere redenen.

Ik heb begrepen dat men ervan uit gaan dat gezonde cellen het enzym rhodanese bevatten, die ervoor zorgen dat het giftige cyanide wordt omgezet in thiocyanaat en kankercellen niet, en dat kankercellen beta-glucosidase bevatten, dat het betreffende middel omzet in onder andere cyanide en benzaldehyde, en gezonde cellen niet. Door deze disbalans zou dan het middel alleen in kankercellen een toxisch effect hebben. Uit onderzoeken is echter gebleken dat er geen verschillen zijn in rhodanese activiteit in gezonde en in tumorcellen. Bovendien heb ik dit onderzoek gevonden (Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A. 1981 October; 78(10): 6513–6516) waaruit blijkt dat er nauwelijks detecteerbare beta glucosidase activiteit in menselijk tumorweefsel is waargenomen, terwijl dit wel het geval was in normaal dunne darm weefsel.
Ik heb overigens ook een onderzoek gevonden waaruit blijkt dat een benzaldehyde derivaat een anti-kanker effect heeft in enkele tumorsoorten, door het induceren van autofagie. Misschien dat dat verklaart waarom er gevallen bekend zijn waarbij dit middel wél werkt. Beweren dat dit middel beter is dan cytostatica echter, daar ben ik het totaal niet mee eens, uit het onderzoek blijkt dan ook een slechts een kleine tumorspecificiteit, en zeker in de vorm van het middel van Bollinger is het niet bewezen effectief.

Ik zou trouwens graag weten hoe die onderzoeker heet, die dat muizenonderzoek heeft gedaan, waaruit het middel bleek te werken, maar waarvan andere onderzoekers toen zeiden dat dat niet het geval was en hij vervolgens ontslagen werd. Ik heb namelijk een verhaal gevonden van een dergelijke onderzoeker, genaamd Sugiura, in de jaren '70, die een dergelijk experiment heeft gedaan en ook dergelijke resultaten vond. Toen hij samen met andere onderzoekers het experiment echter blind herhaalde, vond hij geen anti-kanker effect meer. Ik vraag me af of je die bedoelde..?

Ik vind het sowieso heel erg kwalijk dat Bollinger conventionele, medische behandelwijzen voor kanker af doet als onzin. Zeggen dat ze waardeloos en gevaarlijk zijn, is gewoon niet waar. De afgelopen jaren zijn de genezingspercentages van kanker enorm gestegen, dankzij die middelen. Leukemie bij kinderen, bijvoorbeeld, is nu in zo'n 80% van de gevallen te genezen. Vijftig jaar geleden werd nog minder dan 10% beter. Mensen met kanker zijn kwetsbaar en ik vind dat hij daar misbruik van maakt, naar het schijnt alleen om zijn eigen boek te promoten. We kennen allemaal wel het voorbeeld van Sylvia Millecam.
En ja, cytostatica zijn toxisch. Ja, je kunt eraan doodgaan, ik zal de laatste zijn om dat te ontkennen Maar in principe geldt dat voor elk geneesmiddel. En natuurlijk zijn de cytostatica dan gevaarlijker dan, pak 'em beet, protonpompremmers, maar kanker is dan ook gevaarlijker dan brandend maagzuur. In de jaren na de ontdekking van de eerste cytostatica ging overigens vrijwel iedereen aan dood. Men zocht naar een balans; precies genoeg geven om de kankercellen te doden, maar niet te veel, want dan verlies je de patiënt. Inmiddels is men veel verder, al blijft het extreem lastig. Er gaan nog steeds mensen dood aan de effecten van cytostatica en er sterven ook mensen op de operatietafel tijdens een tumor resectie.
Maar het middel waar het hier om gaat, is zelf ook niet zo ongevaarlijk, in tegenstelling tot wat Bollinger beweert. Betaglucosidase, onder andere aanwezig in de dunne darm, katalyseert de vorming van cyanide en cyanidevergifting is mogelijk fataal. Er zijn genoeg gevallen bekend van mensen die dit middel als anti-kanker medicijn gebruikten en eraan stierven.

Of Bollinger een oplichter is, dat weet ik niet en die uitspraak wil ik ook niet doen. Ik heb zijn boek niet gelezen en ben dat overigens ook niet van plan. Ik krijg echter wel de indruk dat hij feiten verdraait, onwaarheden verspreidt en mensen valse hoop geeft. Dat op zich vind ik al fout genoeg. Dan kan hij wel uithalen naar de FDA en de farmaceutische industrie (waarvan ik overigens ook wel geloof dat er dubieuze praktijken plaatsvinden), maar dat is gewoon hypocriet en vind ik al reden genoeg om hem niet te vertrouwen.

In de zin "volgens Ty's boek is die combinatie 100xamygdaline dodelijker dan elk van de twee apart" moet het woordje "amygdaline" uiteraard weg. Dat is een foutje die in de tekst terecht kwam tijdens het converteren van de letter "X", dat eerst voor "amygdaline" stond, d.m.v. de "find and replace"-functie.

Voor de rest vraag ik me continu af wat het is met de chemotherapie die in het Oasis of Hope ziekenhuis toegepast wordt.

Mijn gevoel is 100% correct! Ik kan het 100% verifieren! Het is een intuitie waar ik het over heb, en die zit 100% logisch in elkaar! Schaam je rot zeg dat je mij ongelijk geeft terwijl ik gelijk heb! Of is dat bericht echt je uiting van je IQ!? Als dat zo is, dan zeg ik dat je NIKS, maar dan ook NIKS hebt begrepen van mijn uitleg, waar ik meer dan 100 uur aan heb besteed! Ik heb er dag en nacht aan besteed. Een hele week lang vrijwel ALLES onderzocht. Doei, italia dat je je hoogbegaafdheid tekort hebt geschoten!! -Doei!

Ik heb gelijk want ik heb gelijk is natuurlijk onzin als argumentvoering.
Wat betreft ALLE alternatieve geneeswijzes etc, slechts zelden word er iets bewezen of verschijnt er wat in een peer reviewed journal, totdat er hard bewijs is door klinische studies met significante resultaten in een gerenomeerd blad dien je gewoon sceptisch te zijn... En wat er bewezen is zijn veelal de chinese traditionele medicijnen waar een bewezen actief component in zit, het gaat dus niet zo zeer om t plantje maar bijna altijd om dat ene stofje dat toevallig in t plantje aangemaakt word. Maar dat is veelal op t gebied van bloeddruk etc. Wat betreft claims mbt kanker, daar horen alle alarmbellen direct af te gaan. Als je met hard bewijs komt wil ik er naar kijken maar tot die tijd heeft dit geen waarde. En met hard bewijs bedoel ik publicaties in peer-review journals met een impact factor boven de 3.5 tenminste... En dan niet alleen met klassieke statistiek (tenzij de p of q waardes geen ruimte voor twijfel overlaten) want daar kan je goed mee sjoemelen, liever nog met bayesian inferrence onderbouwd....

ps slechts een week onderzoek is verre van voldoende bij complexe materie, ik spendeer al meer tijd aan de planning van een dergelijke studie, laat staan de tijd die ik gebruik om de literatuur door te gaan en experimenten ter verificatie op te zetten, etc etc. Voor een gedegen literatuur studie staat al minimaal een maand tijd...

Overigens je zei ook dat deze Bollinger geen oplichter is. Maar ik ben geneigd te zeggen dat hij dat wel is, hij claimt een kanker researcher te zijn, vind ik knap zonder studie in iets dat er ook maar bij in de buurt komt, het is een frigging accountant...

Alles wat ik ooit had willen zeggen in dit topic, is eigenlijk al gezegd. Maar 'Wikipedia zegt het ook' is ook echt geen goed argument. Op Wikipedia kan iedere gek informatie plaatsen of veranderen. Erg betrouwbaar hoeft het dus niet te zijn.
